Got the slow cooker on with lamb in wine, stock, garlic and onions. A few hours tonight then set the timer to come on mid afternoon tomorrow. Mmmmmm.

I love cheese and I love pie, but the two should be kept apart. Cheese and onion pie is a revolting concoction and should be made illegal by the government.

and C+O pasties!! - was a student go to in my younger days - Greggs for a C+O pasty and a cup of Heinz Cream of Tomato soup - corking open air lunch on a cold day.

Yep agreed, I can eat that for lunch on a cold day. Heinz tomato is a good flavour, but I'd change the greggs pasty to a meat and potato. I think they are only available in north west shops though.

Bumped thread as I've just cooked and polished off some cauliflower cheese with nice sausages and a piping hot cup of tea, central heating is on and I'm full and perfectly content, don't care if it snows. Any updated comfort food picks?
