Nice bit of Spirit of Radio there to intro the Ice Hockey final. Anyone know why there were no NHL players involved this time? Was it purely finance and the league didn’t want to stop and/or lose talent?
Interesting to see that medals table. Looked like approx 30 countries got a medal; out of 220 or whatever countries in the world, that doesn’t look too clever to me. I’ve no idea what the equivalent number would be for a Summer Games, but you’d hope the number would be a lot higher.
The whole Olympic “thing” needs scaling back imho; how many cities are going to want the cost & ongoing debts from hosting in future?
Talking of scaling back, I can’t quite see why they need to send the likes of Cram out there when he could just do the comms from Salford.

I think it would be a much greater spectacle were the biathletes, as part of their event, able to shoot paintballs at those skiing and snowboarding down the slopes.

To be fair, she's not exactly getting moist over you either.I haven’t watched any of the Winter Olympics. Have I missed anything? Anything that has Clare Balding presenting is a turn off fir me.
