Were you in a coma for the second half of that season? Once the initial SGE effect wore off they picked up less points in the second half of that season than they have in the first half of this one. And even in the first half of that season we had an easy home set of fixtures, beating relegated Derby (luckily), Birmingham & Reading, as well as Newcastle, Boro, Sunderland, Villa. plus a somewhat lucky win against the rags. In fact they went off the boil completely after the Boro game, losing 6-0 to Chelsea and failing to get wins at Wigan and Portsmouth that we should have had.

Please let's not pretend that last season was some sort of Nirvana. We should have done much better than 9th but our players weren't good enough.

I think that at a moment like this, when we're down on our luck, and the manager needs picking up, we should buck the trend and demand that the owners provide Sparky with a five year contract.

That way it will show that we have faith in him and that all the critics are wasting their time such is our faith in him.

Then we should give him £80m every transfer window for the next five years, so he can build HIS team.

And let's hope that at the end of that period we get Forest at home again in the FA Cup and I will guarantee that no way will they beat us 3-0 again!

I'd be happy with a draw...

And that's just the sort of progress that will give out a massive "up yours" message to all his critics. And prove that patience is a virtue.

Nah! Just bored.

I've even got to thinking to making up some ITK transfer rumours so I can have people fall at my feet with every utterance. The missus never does, so it may be my last chance.
 
Tbh i was not there. seen similar crap in the past. Only this time we have a BIG fortune to play with. Lets see what happens .
 
Most hurtful thing is that many in that team won't be embarrassed. Just like like many of same players weren't embarrassed in the Summer when they allowed themselves to get raped by Boro.

Curent situation summed up for me yesterday when, with us 2 nil down at home to struggling Championship side, City players weren't arsed about taking a corner. I was in 102 yesterday and i didn't fcking clap Elano when he eventually managed to summon up the will to amble over to the corner flag.
Hope the peole in charge keep backing Leslie so players find out who's in charge and what is expected.
