I had this a few years ago, totally deaf in one ear and painful as well.
Gave it a week to see it if would clear up but ended up at the docs.
It wasn't anything to do with wax but was an infection.
Antibiotics cleared it up.

If it has not gone by tomorrow see your doctor and ask for a referral to a specialist if he says it's not wax.

I've just checked online and it could be a condition called "puffy ear" it's caused when your boyfriend quirts his man fat down your lughole causing a blockage and inflammation of the ear canal. You can look it up on web doctor, the real name "Canalstitus"

Mam used to pour warm olive oil into my ears to loosen the wax, don't recommend it though :)

If its wax, use olive oil to soften it (about 4/5 days) and then arrange to see the nurse at the doctors for the syringe! Doctors recommend olive oil but perhaps at room temperature.

Can recommend the olive oil treatment for blocked ears ,wouldn't bother with the anchovies up the arse though for bad wind.

This happened to me about 3mnths ago. But I still had maybe 10% hearing left. Got some otex eardrops, put them in, was then totally deaf. Took about 4 days of putting drops in then it started to clear up, back to normal about a week later. It was a build up of wax deep in the ear. Not saying this is what you've got

I get it every couple of years in same ear. (Spaccy shaped canal that causes build up apparently) Usually get it treated (syringed) by nurse at local GP practice. They and docs all say forget 'Otex' etc, and that room temp olive oil is the best thing to use to loosen it prior to removal ....
