Wolves (A) | Post Match Thread

In the 84th minute, when we are already 4-1 up, in front of an end of entirely Wolves fans, it didn’t bother me one iota tonight tbh, but are you saying he never celebrates any of his goals anymore?
Wouldn’t expect him to go and celebrate in front of the Wolves fans, but he could have shown some emotion. Didn’t see him celebrate at home last week v Newcastle either.

Personally I couldn't give a fuck if he bursts into tears or kicks fuck out of the hoardings like that mad Newcastle player years ago so long as he scores.
I know what you are saying Chapo, but surely he wants to get supporters behind him and sometimes, I don’t think he helps himself. You only need to look at some of the comments on here to gauge what a number of supporters think about him.

Ok, fair enough mate, I was there myself for that one but was too busy celebrating myself to notice. I see he scored the first one in the 19th min then another in the 93rd. I won’t go back & dig out MoTD, but if he didn’t celebrate that first one on 19th mins, agree that is poor. In that case, maybe he knows he’s offski this summer … (?)

Didn’t get chance to watch it. Does the score flatter us or did we batter them as it suggests?

King Kev!

He never stops trying and his pace and movement causes teams problems. Sure he misses some sitters which is frustrating but for a winger his goal return is pretty good. He divides opinion because one week he looks world class then the next like a rabbit in the headlights. Whatever happens he's been great value for us.

Great team performance. In hindsight would've loved it if we had closed Madrid out the way we did Wolves in that last 20 mins. Superb possession and closing down. If there was any doubt about Peps team it was gone after tonight. A great night to be a blue. Bring on the hammers.

And, if Haaland was watching, like in many of our matches, he would have been salivating. I counted no less than 3 or 4 great crosses that were just out of the reach of our false "9"'s (Foden, Sterling, Silva, etc.). With his longer legs and more natural instinct to attack the ball in the box, Haaland will score tap-in's left and right at City.

Okay. Let me flip it around. What would honestly give that overall performance out of 10? There were 4 or 5 players who had, at best, very quiet games tonight. I won't name them, but we all know who they are. When you have a third of the team playing below par, there's no way you can give it a 9 or 10 out of 10.

And don't get me wrong. I'll gladly take a couple more rubbish performances like that between now and sunday week!

;-)
This isn't against you Jim but it's the first post I've come across going on at ratings.
The thing that gets me with loads of blues and most of the media , most of our players score 5 or 6. A couple may be 4 and the odd one or two may score 7 of if they are excellent an 8. The same players get slated over an over and our new as yet not played signings would get loads of goals . Well we will never reach perfection and fwiw its not too shabby now as it is atm. Some fucking total twats that watch City.
