Wolves (A) | Post Match Thread

Despite a lack of defenders, tonight showed at times it plays into our hands because they give us so much space behind their midfield.

I called out Cancelo a lot in the match day thread but to be honest it was more his decision making going forward, losing the ball in very promising situations.
Apart from the goal they scored I don’t have s problem with the defensive part of his game.
It’s how he’s told to play.

Thr same goes for Zinc. A few criticising his defence tonight against a tricky fast winger. I thought he was great. His decision making and passing was spot on.
Great asset attacking.
Phil and Raheem need to work harder on defence of the wings with the way ou full backs are told to play.
Laporte was great.
I don’t criticise Fern, he did a difficult job. He is as critical as any in the game management. An experienced head.
Talking of game management, Rodri snd Gundo were like machines.
Bernie like the Duracell bunny.
Phil finished strong laying a couple on a plate for Sterling….. which he missed……. but he never stops making the runs and eventually put one in.

Jack was good when he came on.

It was another great team performance. We look galvanised.
5-1 away. What’s not to like. Everyone has to be happy despite the injuries with how the team are coping.

Oh and Kev had a decent game too.

Thrilled.Amazed.In Awe.What A result.
More than a small piece of me wonders with our injury problems if might rue the extra couple we created but didn’t bag this evening when goal difference may count big come the last day.

Just watched a replay of the Laporte injury, did not look good at all.

also looked a bit deliberate the way the wolves player dived into his leg. Didn’t like that one bit.
