I think in our 5 games we've managed 1 win against them when they got an early red.
Very tough even if we were at full strength but they started the league slowly last year so maybe a good time to play them.

Going for a 1-1.

@projectriver said on twitter that 7 points from the first 3 games is Par, and the very least we should expect. Now i can't get that out of my head, i think all 3 games are must wins considering Liverpool have Chelsea and Arsenal as their next two games. Wolves, Leicester and Leeds going into the Arsenal game is tough but they are all games we have to take full points if we have ambitions to be top. The biggest issue is they've all hit the ground running, whereas we are already behind in having players ready and no match sharpness.

Tricky one for us to set up for. Without a new right-sided centre back it might make sense to match Wolves’ shape and go with three at the back to incorporate both Laporte and Aké. However, I suspect Pep might be reticent to go that route after the Lyon debacle.

I think we might see Aké at left-back to deal with Traore’s threat. I also have a sneaking suspicion that Garcia might play, which would be a negligent move given Jimenez’s form and physicality.

What I think Pep will pick:

GK: Ederson
RB: Walker
CB: Garcia
CB: Laporte
LB: Aké
DM: Rodri
CM: De Bruyne
CM: Gundogan
RW: Mahrez
CF: Jesus
LW: Sterling

What I would pick:

GK: Ederson
RB: Walker
CB: Fernandinho
CB: Laporte
LB: Aké
DM: Rodri
DM: Bernardo
RW: Torres
AM: De Bruyne
LW: Sterling
CF: Jesus

Pep Guardiola: "The feeling is good, as always. It is a joy to work with these players and this club - so the feeling is always good like it was

Pep Guardiola on Lionel Messi: "I think I don’t have to explain anything. Leo explained quite well his feelings and I have nothing to add. He is a football player for FC Barcelona - the club I love

Pep Guardiola: "No [Sergio Aguero is not fit]. He hasn’t made one training session with us

Pep Guardiola on Phil Foden: "He is well. The time I saw him in these three or four days. He knows he made a mistake [while away with England] and that is all

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Riyad Mahrez will be available for #WOLMCI, while Aymeric Laporte is not yet fit
