Thought we signed Gomez so we didn't have to play Stones/Ake at fullback.

I want to see Grealish with Gomez and Cancelo with Phil. Instead we'll have our two wingers attacking the flanks on their own.

Would be nice to see us start well. First halves recently have been pretty poor / a real slog.

Hopefully the lads start with some zip. As exciting as it is to come back from a goal or two down to win, control is also nice.

Why? He's 22 not 18. Akanji already seems to have overtaken Ake and Stones in CB ranks, not sure why Alvarez isn't being given an opportunity to usurp Mahrez ect

Me too. Inverted wingers aren't nearly as affective without an overlapping fullback. Opposition defences know that everything is going to come inside and can set up accordingly.
