Saw their game against Chelsea, they played very well and should have won. Not an easy game, let's hope Ake is fit.
They’d been pretty abject before that one though, if we play well we win.

Neither away games are easy but we should win them both.

The fear with wolves is usually the struggle to break them down rather than shutting them down upfront. They are quite an adept counter attacking side with tricky pacy forwards so they could pose a problem with the state of our squad. I always thought this looked our trickiest tie in the run in and the defensive problems strengthens that believe. We're going to have to be ruthless upfront and make sure we don't have to rely on a patched up defence. Go at them hard and don't settle until the games well and truly over.

Ederson
Cancelo
Fernandinho
Laporte
Zinchenko
Rodri
Bernardo
Kdb
Sterling
Foden
Jesus.

I'm assuming ake isn't 100%, we can't risk him getting injured and ruled out for the rest of the season too so we give him until the weekend to recover.

We really struggled to break them down earlier this season. Thankfully Liverpool have given us a smidge of breathing room. A draw in this game wouldn't be good but it wouldn't be a complete disaster either. Just don't lose. I always hate going to Wolves. Drew in 18/19, lost in 19/20, won in 20/21 but were made to work for it during a bad second half.

Hopefully Wolves are on the beach after West Ham's win today. They've won 1 of their last 6 in the league, 3 of their last 11. They've not dropped any positions in the league but the gap between them and 9th has shrunk significantly, to the point where Brighton, Palace, or Villa could still finish above them. It's not their last home game of the season either so hopefully they're not out to "prove a point".

Would be happier seeing Ake in defence than Ferny just because we would have some pace at the back then. Both left sided though which is the danger, although Laporte has played RCB for Spain.

No point stressing about it. Unless pep has got the Dias injury wrong we will have to figure out a solution. Personally I would rather see Rodri as CB and play Fern infront to sniff out the danger. Shit situation unfortunately and I hope it doesn’t equate to dropped points.

People worried about this game and Scousers hoping for us to drop points haven't watched Wolves for a while.
