Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I thought we wre pretty decent first half. Compact and in control. Scored 2, should have probably had a penalty and we also created a few more reasonable chances.

2nd half I thought we were really sloppy. Giving away silly fouls in dangerous areas and very loose with our passing.

All in all though, a good win and a deserved 3 points.

A win is a win. But that wasnt very good in terms of quality. Enjoy the aftermath. I'm off to watch some movies.
 
Win is the positive from a crappy few games.Need to improve a lot. Some brilliant moments and some poor moments. That about sums us up.

Guehi looks good.

More positives than negatives.

Guehi and O'Reilly looking very good together.

Nice to see a striker get across his man and unsurprisingly score in doing so.

Good to have Nunes back but that last 25 mins shows we need a proper right back in the summer
 
Got the win and that was so important today. Other than that, there’s very little to get excited about. We are no longer dominant, even against the weakest of opposition (Wolves certainly fall into that category) and we are a terrible watch. IMO we are now in that situation where we can only get away with our style of play, if it’s a winning one. We used to be brilliant to watch, win or lose.
 
Wolves were dreadful in the first-half but improved in the second, while we looked understandably jaded as the game went on. We look worryingly leggy in midfield, and although the return of Gomez- and maybe latterly Kovacic- will give us some impetus, it’s hard to see some of our guys catching a second wind in the spring. Surprised Lewis and Ait-Nouri were unused.
 
Yet again went from a dominant 1st half to an awful 2nd half performance. A team with a better attack would have beaten us today on that performance.
Would have left Haaland and Foden on the bemch throughout and not bring them on over their recent performances.
More corruption from PGMOL, every single week now.
Only important thing is 3 points for our top 4 challenge but Pep seems clueless these days in reacting to opposition changes in tactics, probably why we are so awful often after half time.
Still half that starting team needs improving on to get us seriously challenging again. 11 shots each v a team bottom of the table with 1 win is nowhere near good enough.
 
A professional 1st half performance. Wolves are hard to beat at the moment. We saw that in the 2nd half.

Having done the hard work before HT, the 2nd half performance was a bit worrying. Too much last ditch defending required, and barely threatened their goal.

Wolves were better when Foden and Haaland were on the pitch. That's a concern.
