Great result but a very underhwleming performance. First half was better but second half right from the off it just looked like recent performances with a more solid defence

Guehi big plus point along with NOR looking much better again. Nunes did well in the first half....struggled more int he second half and baring one very rash moment from Khuosonov he also did well. Donarumma under the high ball is terrible...great shot stopper BUT it is something he needs to work on...time and time again he is flapping at crosses

Rodri solid and gets another game under his belt on the road to full recovery

Semenyo took his goal well and was very unlucky not to get a second. needs to have s sutained impact on the game in terms of build up. Marmoush showed he is a decent finisher as we all know.

Bernardo continues to show the rest of the team what it means to care and fight - too many nice guys in this squad. Build up to both goals was lovely football - what a cross by Nunes for the first.

Reijnders - continues to be completely anonymous

Long long way to go....something is missing from this team
 
Read a few posts, usual negative bollocks when the fragility of the team is high but a welcome 3 points and a clean sheet. Spoiler……. We will NEVER be that team again so anyone expecting the performances of a couple of years ago need to brace themselves. Still missing Dias and Gvardiol as well so happy with that.
 
Well done Marmoush and Semenyo.
It's a shame we didn't push on in the second half.

Good summary. I'd add to that that the substitutes didn't really affect the game at all.
 
Tough watch second half. Did we have a shot on target? The money spent on our team we should be blowing them away, second half they we the better side.
 
Good first half, poor second half despite the usual Billy Biggest Blues on the MD thread trying to pretend we were prime time Brazil 1970 after the break….and trying to police people who weren’t quite as enamoured with the performance.
Guehi superb and very encouraging performance. Semenyo too looked dangerous.
2nd half lost control for large spells, at home to the leagues worst team.
 
Decent first half, but poor second half. That said with a game every 3 days at the moment its just about getting the win.
