Felt like a fairly routine win. Crowd were quiet, but I get that.
Wolves were dog shit though. Did they have a shot on target? Didn’t like their dirty tactics late on either.
Any win is a good win :)

We did alright in the first half, poor in the second and the subs made no impact.

Looked much better defensively and was extremely pleased to see a couple throwing their bodies in-front of shots late in the game.

I’d have taken 2 goals and a clean sheet this morning. Hopefully we can kick on

Missed it today. Was it signs of improvement? Or same old but just with Foden and Haaland not starting?

We certainly never missed Haaland and Foden. Probably a more composed performance all round with the usual silly decision making and bad passes.

We are so unfit, we can’t sustain any kind of tempo.

It’s a strange thing watching us almost fall asleep on the job.

The game itself..

Semenyo has to play on the left, if you pay 60m for a player, play him in his favoured position. Especially if he’s better than what we have.

Khus has all the right physical attributes but his decision making has to improve in time.

One bright spot for me, was the wild celebrations at blocking a tackle at the end, that’s a sign they do care, even if the quality isn’t there.

We are lacking tempo and quality in the middle. With quality we could sort out the tempo.

1st half was dominant, the 2nd half was a bit boring but we have a game in midweek.

Comfortable win due in part to a better performance from City but also to the lack of any real threat from Wolves. We had more energy and put some lovely moves together, but we still have a way to go. Guehi had an impressive debut and will be a great signing, and Semenyo had a good game, taking his goal very well. But,of course, neither can play in midweek. By no means a perfect day but a win and a noticeable improvement on our last two games.

You just know we’ve had an easy game when you look at the page count. The idiots will need something else to do tonight. 1st half was so much more fluid than at any point this season. Yes I was there. Being miles better than one of the worst performances in a decade isn't difficult. Like I said, for the first 15, perhaps 20 minutes I agree, the pressing and tempo was all there anf we looked lively but after that we fell back into the slow ponderous stuff that's troubled us, wolves being too shite to cause us any problems meant we were never in danger of suffering.

Still waiting for one of our players to win a 50:50 this season. Bullied again by the opposition. Out muscled like we’ve been all season. If we’d have played like that against a mid table team we would have lost today.
