Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Well seen it 10 times now, and my conclusion is 100% pen in any game any league in the world.
Leaving me with the belief that it's courpt, it can not be a coincidence that it happens far too often.
We need to win games 2 3 nil every week.
Good 3 points after a poor week new signings look great
It seems like there's a major VAR or ref decision against us in every single game of late. Can't remember the last one for us tbh.

There's also a defense that's incapable of moving the ball forward, freak under pressure, and at the same time, unable to deal with counter-attacks in an organized and cohesive manner. Even the weakest teams, as we saw in the Champions League, were easily beaten by a modest Norwegian side who managed to score two goals.

In Guehi's first match, we saw a player who made a difference and demonstrated the ability to move the ball forward. City needs another Guehi.

Disagree, was by less than a yard away and if that had been a us defending we would be saying as much.
So what? Who runs with their arms outstretched like they’re trying to take off? It affects the play to our disadvantage and it’s not a natural position.

I get your trying to present as impartial but you will see several more of those given this season.

It’s all to do with the Liverpool/Robertson one. I knew at the time we were screwed after that. It happens every time we get a contentious decision - which we get about once every two years. Think about it - have we had one 50-50 decision go for us since that game? Pep knows

I thought for a while yesterday the intensity was back but far too often we slipped back into the sideways and backwards rubbish. Whatever Pep says at half time we come out asleep for the second half far too often. Again his substitutions made us far worse. Guehi looked decent and comfortable on the ball which is promising. Semenayo we already know has a real good eye for goal which is badly needed. Reijnders needs to be shipped back to Italy asap. Disappearing act again.
Of course the happy clappers think all is good in the world again and that we're back in business despite us playing a side who had already lost 16 league games this season. Not much of a barometer. Long way to go and a short time to get there. Next!

Fordy seems ok sometimes but he doesn't half play up to his reputation.

The worst second half in years. An unbelievably garbage game. It was like watching two random teams from the street.
Maybe. But better than watching one team been schooled by a random team from the street as witnessed over the last couple of games. This was a very small positive step forward and as such was very welcome. New additions looking good and will be badly missed mid-week.

We miss the old Rodri and González; we miss an attacking midfielder who could control the tempo, transition the ball from defense to attack, and surprise opponents with long passes that created clear scoring opportunities for the forwards. Rodri, along with De Bruyne, performed a large part of this role. Currently, we have a far below-par version of Rodri; we don't have De Bruyne.
A bit like Bernardo...

Can’t believe noone having a word with Khus. Love him but seems he gives at least one free kick a match away in a dangerous position, going through a player to win the ball. Opponents play for set pieces against us.
