Wolves (H) Post Match Thread

I disagree.
Mental sharpness is as much a part of match fitness in my book and he looks slow of mind by his standards, to me.
Sometimes he looks like the mind decides one thing but the body can’t follow and other times he looks in two minds and dithers, which is so unlike his quick first time ball game.

If the body gets up to speed with his brain and vice versa he’ll be the player we know and love at his consistent best. It’ll take a few games.
yeah but mental sharpness and match sharpness have nothing to do with simple 10 yard passes. They should be automatic, muscle memory.

Make excuses all you want. He's off it. No harm in it.

He'll get back on it.

He's good when they are defensive in a back five with holding mids sitting deep. Wolves went to fuck playing four at the back Coady and Boly/Saiss I think it showed he and Wolves back four need protecting.

I think he's mediocre to be honest.
You’re being too generous... he’s wank.

To me he looks like a player that might be troubled by off field issues which hopefully is not the case.

anyone looks shit when they're exposed. He defended really well there tonight against a very, very good attacking unit. He played it out well. Looks like a leader too. He's better than Maguire and that's for sure.
Some centre halves are good in a two, Some are good in three, He plays in a three because he needs protection.
He is a leader and he is a good player but I think he has found his level and that's at Wolves.

This was the one where I thought we may struggle. Wow, what a side we have now. On a side note 47 years ago today age 7 my dad took me to the League Cup final v Wolves. Still hurts that day, but at least we gave 'em a hiding tonight.

"....and they'll be dancing in the streets of Algiers tonight!"

Two nice bits of play by Rodri for the last two goals, good pressing high up at the third and a lovely first time through ball to Jesus at the fourth.

Another world class display from City. I'm feeling this is the best City team ever and the best world club side that’s ever been seen. Drink it in blues everywhere
I think it’s second only to Pep’s prime Barcelona side of 08/09 which won the Sextuple.

It featured Valdez, Alves, Pique, Puyol, Abidal, Biscuits, Iniesta, Xavi, Villa, Messi, Eto’o and Henry and as a neutral they are the only other team I’ve ever watched and genuinely thought ‘wow, this is pure beauty the like of which I’ll never see again in my lifetime’.

Luckily 10 seasons later their manager joined City.
