I think we have to mix it up a bit and give Haaland and Foden just 20-30 minutes to focus on. The way we have started games lately we just pass it around without creating anything the first 20 minutes of the game anyway. We should be much more assertive in terms of end product (cross, shoot, pass through the lines), loose the ball more and run to win it back. First part of the season Man City was a team that was running more kilometers than the opposition. That is the advantage of having a relatively young team - young players have an easier time running more.

Not to get in the way of your conspiracy theory bollocks or anything... but 3 PL referees have made their debuts this year so far, Kirk (hasn't refereed us yet) Kitchen (hasn't refereed us yet) and Donohue (hasn't refereed us yet).


The last time the PL gave us a debutant referee was Richard Beeby 7/5/2005. We beat Aston Villa 2-1.

He is Zimbabwean-British born in Rugby (Warwickshire) and has played professional football in England and Spain as a defender. He is 32 years old and is currently Senior Referee Officer at The FA’s Centre of Refereeing Excellence.

It is anybody’s guess which team he supports but it is a sure bet it will not be us. As Wolverhampton is in Staffordshire the immediate neighbour to Warwickshire I fear the worse.
