Nobody doubts his ability but he needs a rest. He’s permanently semi-bolloxed and rarely has sufficient time to recover. (And that means more than anyone else.)

If we can’t win this one without him, we aren’t going anywhere.

I agree, we’ve also gone on good runs without Kev a few times. I think what’s stuffed us this year is that forever changing back four. Defences win titles and ours has been all over the place.

Staggered that so many people think KDB isn’t good enough to start for us today.

On his day, he is more than good enough but he has been off the boil recently.

I don't mind him trying to play people into form as long as it's only one at a time, it's when we have three or four that we really struggle. We don't have the luxury that Arsenal have of a good points lead where we can afford to rest in form players. I can't help but feeling Pep will tinker too much for my liking today.
We need to keep playing the guys in form so Lewis, Mahrez, Grealish, Rodri and Ake have to start, I assume that Haaland will be a shoe in and do that is 6 of the starting 11 leaving 5 places up for grabs.

Very strange formation, either playing both fullbacks and wingers on the opposite sides or going with Eddy up front and no keeper. I like it :)
