Wolves - post match

We need a revamp in defence and look to replace Kun and another DM if you don't mix things up especially in the areas you need to you go backwards especially as we lose players for long periods of time on a regular basis.

Good for moral as well and keeps players on their toes.

This season is just a stutter to get ourselves automatic qualification to Chumps next year.

Fortunately at least in the first half of the season Manure , Chelsea , Spurs and Arsenal have all regressed.
There not that far behind mate, and we keep chucking them a bone to close up on us.

We will have to have a pretty poor second half to finish behind two of them but I suppose anything is possible.

I suspect if we mirror our first half it will be considered a pretty average if not poor points tally but this would mean Chelsea getting 45 points , Spurs 48 points and Manure 49 points from their last 19 games all highly unlikely.

Good to see you a lot more positive these days :-)

Maybe you should.

Like i said. "FACTS"

ttps://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/saves
Stats and facts are not one and the same thing. By those stats Alisson has made 18 saves, how did he manage to get into a team 13 points ahead in the PL. Look at the top 6, what a coincidence they have also conceded the most goals. Top of your stats list is Leno with 76 saves, he conceded 28 goals, Ederson has only conceded 17, in spite of playing in front of a weakened defence. Instead of typing "facts" in capitals try looking at this it is far more enjoyable than stats that can be manipulated to fit any narrative.

Gloating Liverpool fans might like to reflect what would happen should they lose van Dijk to injury, or Mane, or Robertson etc. There are some players where a squad has exceptional cover, for example City lost KDB and carried it, but injuries can happen to anyone. Ideally you get cover in but sometimes it's not possible. How long did it take Klopp to land VVD? Years.
Matip was having a better season the vvd, still the injury robbed him. VVD has not been the monster he was last season.

Impact at a slightly different angle and laporte stays fit and the season takes a completely different course. Of course it's luck.

JFS? Quit wumming.

We're one player short. Having a weak central defence has cost us in so many games but the defending is all that's declined.

You are the one who is naive and arrogant if you think that City can at the drop of a hat just find and bring in a world-class defender.

Marvin were more than one player short, we’re a whole defence short. We need two quality fullbacks and two central defenders to help Eric out.

We are more than capable of bouncing back from an average season which this one looks like being its happened a couple of times already in the new era and it will happen again.

Serious question: so far this season which of the current City team would get into the LiVARpool first eleven? Never thought I’d ask this so soon after our title win.

Ten men went 2-0 and that was unexpected. Okay, so now tactically, we should park the bus. The problem is our bus has two flat tyres and looks like it was left unattended in Newton Heath for a month. You can argue all day but our defence has been pittle-poor all season. It had flashes of shocking last season but our great attack play and the return of Special Vinny K helped us weather a few tough moments. This year we look leaderless, and with many individuals but little cohesion. Hardly panic stations by years of comparison but you can't look at Fernandinho and Otamendi and say that'll win you titles. Both have faults and moments in every game. The manager must see it. Walker is class on his day, as is Mendy but again both are mistake-prone. Bernardo Silva has so much potential and talent but drifts in and out of games all too often. De Bruyne looked tired. A wise move to get him off the field, but Gundogan should be solid enough to anchor the game with his experience and talent. We conceded possession by being down to ten men, it was expected BUT we should have done a little more to see out a draw or a win. The boys in blue never give in, right? We didn't look like it. Still, as I've said we've been here before. Another 2-0 lead squandered.

Atkinson ignoring the pen claim only for VAR to step in, was rather nice.
VAR making a pen be retaken was sweet too.

Sheff Utd next, and they're flying high... no room for mistakes. None.
