Wolves Thread - 2023/24

Read that this morning, another superb article from Johnny Phillips. First time he has really gone against Shi and deservedly so. Shi has fallen out with every manager, including our god Nuno and look where its got us.

Hopefully something is stirring in the background, either a sale or a dramatic change of direction as the whole place stinks of failure right now.

Since May we have swapped Lopetegui for Gary O'Neil, lost Neves to Saudi Arabia, a few other departures too with only free transfer Doherty and a 3rd choice goalie from the lower leagues coming in. Its a pathetic way to run a PL club and only heading one way. Breaks my heart to see what's going on at Villa knowing that could have been us.
substantial rise in match day tickets too really take the piss out of us fans.

Sheikh Mansour invested in Manchester City in 2009.

He produced a long term plan, and employed world class executives to deliver it.

He never comments on club matters and has attended two matches during his tenure.

Under his guidance the club has achieved world renown for its sporting and commercial achievements.

Additionally, in partnership with local government stakeholders, his companies have invested hundreds of £ millions £ in to the Manchester economy through infrastructure development, residential, commercial and retail investment, medical research, passenger and freight airline and probably many other elements currently unknown.

Rather than be envious and belittling of City, fans of other clubs should be using Sheikh Mansour as an example of excellence and holding their own owners to public account and scrutiny.

Manchester thanks you Sheikh Mansour.

You were shafted tonight. Even if you were to ignore the scandalous VAR decision, you gave them a chasing. Keep that up and you won't go down.
Thanks mate, thoroughly heartened by that performance tonight but our failure to take chances bites us again. A draw would have been robbery let alone them winning but fucking typical with the penalty shout, just knew we wouldn't get it then O'Neil gets booked for complaining. Corrupt wankers as ever. Very encouraging though, we were all over the twats

Agreed.

On that showing, Wolves will have nothing to worry about at the bottom end of the table.

I thought they were excellent tonight; by far the better team, and deserved the three points.

Lived in perton for a while my son was born there :)
