Why did the ref play 98 instead of 96 mins? I couldn’t see any reason for adding that.
Brilliant stuff winning away like that.
As a side point, loved some of Kelly’s antics as well, wound their crowd up good style.

I don’t get that “rule” about continuing play when a red shirt is attacking after the full time has elapsed, once time is up it’s up, anything else is ambiguous and open to manipulation (which is of course why they do it)

It's the new phenomenon of Additional Time added to the Added Time. It often occurs when a red shirt is chasing a goal.

Just to bookmark the ridiculous co-commentator on this match as ex Arsenal Ladies player Gilly Flaherty. A landmark low for anti-City bias from the national broadcaster now extending to our women's team.

I've just watched the highlights of this game and twelve seconds in Bunny Shaw gets forearmed by an Arsenal defender. The LotG mandate a penalty and a red card, but the outcome is an Arse goalkick.

Just the usual indifferent refereeing performance with another potential penalty as well as this one and numerous yellow cards not awarded against our opposition.

The draw for the QF's will be interesting tomorrow (The One Show, BBC1 7pm). All the big teams getting through (except for Arsenal that is). Maybe we'll face the spudettes again.
