Bit strange at the end , ie ref blowing straight on 90mins !
2nd half 2 goals and how many subs ?
 
Hopefully we shall see more of Rose and Sam now until the end of the season - best chance of keeping them and us winning the CL. Professional performance.

Certainly Mewis, I still though Lavelle was sloppy and needs to bring her USA form to a City shirt but I don't think we have a chance of signing either tbh, just loan deals.

Mewis has been brilliant for us.

Mewis is a 28 year old US international, older and more experienced than all the players you listed lol.

Mewis 28yo 192 games has played 15 more games than Stanway 22yo 177 games.
Dahlkemper 27yo 198 games has played more but you can't give the armband to somebody with 4 games played for the club.
Greenwood 27yo 240 games has also played more games than Mewis.

How many World Cup finals have the others played in?

It’s pretty clear to anyone with half a brain that Mewis is more experienced and it doesn’t just come down to the amount of games played.

If you’re trying to make out that Mewis isn’t much more experienced than Stanway then I’m not sure what to say.

It was simply a factual reply to you and the term 'easily'

It was the 'lol' and the 'easily' dismissal to the other fella that said enough for me.

I do hope you are not accusing me of having half a brain either? No real need for insults to be bandied about over a captains armband.

Mewis has nearly as many caps as normal league games, experience in a world cup final is great but experience in the champs league and other football just as much so really, it is just another facet of experience.

I wasn't bothered she got the armband either btw.
 
Very good win today.

I liked the way Stanway featured in the approach for a couple of goals that reflects the development in her game. Mewis and Lavelle were very good Ellen White looked sharp.

There are two possibilities, either they have signed short term deals in order to experience the English game but have no intention of staying any longer, or they have signed short term deals with a view to assessing the club and their enjoyment of the football with the intention to sign longer term if they like what they see. Have they made any comments about which of the two possibilities is true?

They signed short-term deals because the US league has been put on hiatus during the pandemic. They wanted to keep playing competitively to stay sharp for the National team. Only Dahlkemper of the 6 Americans that came over has committed to a longer stay as she wants to experience a different style of football in order to improve her game.

Yes, I get that, what I haven’t heard is whether they are open to the possibility of extending their stay if they are enjoying their football. Just wondering whether they have made any comments either way.
