Eventually, yes, but when White first signed she was being put through as well as poaching and then Nick Cushing built the game around Stanway and the game changed for White.

Now she drops in.

She's a regular starter under Taylor and that wasn't the case under Cushing IIRC, so Taylor must see more of what he wants with White up top than Stanway.

But, I believe he'll mix up the styles and usefulness of the players as he has tried earlier in the season to little success, but now the team have become more cohesive.
Bit confused?

It is Stanway's fault that she doesn't pass to White, so White has to drop back to get involved but Stanway isn't a starter for Taylor nowadays?

So if Stanway isn't playing why does White drop back in still?

Look, I like White and she should be told to stay up top and be the poacher, she is a great finisher imo, she is wasted dropping back to the midfield, whoever is on the wings.

But your infatuation with blaming Stanway for everything is bizarre.

So, where in that post did I blame Stanway directly?

Cushing, himself, stated he wanted to build the team around Stanway! That's not my fault the team style changed.

As others have stated also, White and others aren't always put through when the chance is there. Maybe I've been spoilt by the men's game where players (besides Sterling and Mahrez, but even they're adapting) don't always hog the ball trying to slalom as many players as possible through the midfield.

For example, when De Bruyne is playing behind the striker, more often than not he will put the player in the better position in.

With White, if she knows when put in she's not going to have a real crack at goal, odds on she'll put another player in. Sure most players will have a pop sometimes, but not all the time, so it seems!

That's the difference.

Anyway, the last game I didn't really criticise Stanway compared to times before. This particular conversation was about White's game.

You have made it directly about Stanway.

I think yer could right. c! A pass from the halfway line by Slabhead whilst DdG was off scoffing a rare donut would be a backpass, but would that count as a goal 'scored' by the person who passed it? I dunno!
I was thinking more of a Slabhead back pass to De Gea who'd wandered off to steal doughnuts. It would absolutely be credited as an own goal

Well, you didn't but we both know you did in another post on Sunday, sorry for fetching it up.

But in reality, you brought it up by saying she doesn't get any through balls and that was the thing you directly accused Stanway of not doing for White on Sunday, how am I not going to mention her when it is relevant to the points being made.

You blatantly accused Stanway of not passing to White ever, in effect cutting her out of the game and forcing White to drop back in.

Now, if this really was the case do you not think the manager and the rest of the players would be having a word?

Every match thread you can be found bleating on about Stanway and bringing the men's game into the argument lol

I also didn't say it was your fault the team shape had changed, in fact, I never said anything about the team shape, so what an odd thing to say?

Clearly, my point was White drops in to get involved in the game and be useful if she's not getting through balls.

That's patently obvious.

It's not about the men's game. It's about football. It's you that's separating the two genders. I was, merely, talking styles and differences in play. That's not my fault you can't pick up on that.

And, as I've said before, I have critiqued Stanway, yes. Not so much in the last game, which I've ALREADY said, so you're 'point scoring' is ineffectual.

People have bleated on more Mahrez than I have about Stanway.

Have you NEVER had words to say about one of our own? Just because she's female doesn't mean she's above criticism if I believe she has the potential to be better.

Cushing could play two up top because Nikita Parrish had a tremendous work rate and was excellent at closing down the opposition. A bit like Carlos Tevez was or a fully fit Gabriel Jesus is, for the lads.

Part of the reason that White wasn’t getting enough service is because we were passing right back to our central defenders from wide midfield positions, instead of getting crosses in. We have been a lor more progressive over the last half a dozen games and our wide players have been beating the opposition full back on a regular basis.

Don't try and insinuate what I was doing, you brought the men's game into the conversation, saying maybe you were spoiled by it compared to the woman.

Clearly, my point to you which you never answered was...

WHITE should be told not to drop back into midfield as she is nullifying her talent, no matter who the wingers are and then not being in the right place to receive the said through balls, that was the point, of course, the other point is accusing a player (Stanway) of pretty much deliberately not passing to White in a game, so it is nothing to do with point-scoring, don't be so bloody pathetic.

Mahrez what the fuck has he got to do with it? You're jumping about all over the place man get a grip.

Criticism or obsession?
