There seems to be a big problem with the manager not knowing his best team. Too many changes to keep the old guard happy. Lots of possession but no cutting edge. Maybe a season of wasted opportunity beckons. He has to make a decision on his best midfield set up and stick to it. Players being picked not on merit at all strikes me as a consequence of a manager lacking experience. Gareth you are not their friend you are the boss!

Think that somes up the reffing today , Stanway two challenges and spoke too by the ref , Two challenges that Chelsea players have been doing all match !
 
Why wasn’t that a yellow card when the phat handball was in the first half? Would it be because she’s already been booked perhaps? Couldn’t get a clearer example of double standards.
 
It's a shame. I think they have the players to compete with Chelsea but it looks like they dont believe in the system. Weir has been good but he should have taken her off and changed the system. Add to that an atrocious referring performance and it's a pretty poor day.
 
Had to laugh at how atrocious that was, from back to front. That was like a fifa goal against the easiest AI setting.
 
Fairly annoying that I finally found a decent stream on 90 mins via 'Death Star', so i've not really been able to analyse the game as I wanted to.

So, imagine my surprise to see the game end at 3-1. Didn't think we'd win, but didn't think the margin would be so.

I could see 1-0 Chelsea.
 
Early days but not impressed with the manager. Comments before the game that the result of this game wasn’t that important shows he doesn’t understand women’s football, Chelsea won’t lose many games this season so that result could be decisive as it was last season. Not exactly a winning mentality either. Should have changed it earlier and should have left White on because she’s a must when we’re chasing goals. We need a consistent team selection to allow the new players to settle in and the team to gel. Lavelle needs to be starting and playing at ten so Weir needs to play out wide if she’s going to be starting. I get the distinct impression Taylor doesn’t know what his best team is.
 
Just read it was played at Kingsmeadow, that used to be where I played for my works team, we usually lost there too. Anyway thats the end of my story.

Kin' ell! Could have drove a bus through the defence! Same for the second, really!

Disappointing and maybe the back line needs a tweak for slightly younger, speedier players.

I don't have a problem with the game results, right now, so I understand Taylor's mindset.

It's about the team knowing the style to be implemented, right now.
 
The best team won easily, even if they did appear to have 12 on the pitch, and it could have been 5 or 6 if we're honest, they more aggressive all over the pitch, far better passing, far more creative, we improved after the subs were made, but the third was a killer, and whilst a great pass, and poor goalkeeping, where were the defence, and what were they doing there ? I thought both full backs were poor too, after Stokes had such a good game against Arsenal, she was run ragged by Kirby today. Bronze was no better, in fact arguably worse, and Walsh had a poor game for me. Not season ending, but could well be defining for us.
 
Exactly the same issues as our men's team. Dodgy keeper, woeful fullbacks, outnumbered and outworked in midfield, powder puff in the attack. Ref gave them carte Blanche to bully us. Anyway enough of being nice.
