Well, let's be fair the "very fast forward" has been tried in Stanway, but she's extremely poor in her decision making of when to pass or shoot.

We'd be out of sight if she was less scattered in her thinking.

I would try Park up front, myself to sub off White.
Stanway is quick but not lightning fast. She missed some good chances against the rags but won the game for us against Everton.

I noticed that our players didn’t find enough space in the box against the rags so the pull back option wasn’t always on. Yes, Stanway needs to improver the service she provides (mainly to White) but White and others really need to do more to get themselves into space to receive the ball.

So, I agree and disagree here.

For White, in particular, when she doesn't receive the ball playing off the shoulder of her defender, she tends to go further into the mid to do the hold up play, spin and run, but she's not often found and I can see the frustration on her face as she's clearly doing the work.

Stanway? Yes, she won the game at against Everton, but she's ballsed up loads before that with over aggression, heavy contact and poor decision making in the main, so she was bound to have a good game.

I really wish Park and Kelly would be given a run on the wings.

Fair points mate. My own view is that we would be a bit powder puff against more physical teams of Stanway didn’t give as good as she got.

White is working hard for the team but she doesn’t really do that all round game as well as Nikita Paris used to. That makes it more important for to take her chances like the one she blazed over the bar in the second half. That said, White isn’t getting good service, in the main.

The one she took on the volley as "blazed over the bar"? Ooo, unfair if so! But, yes, our biggest miss is Nikita Parris. But even she would struggle in this team the way it's set up.

But, as I said before if Stanway took two touches and shot, rather than three and get closed down she'd be scoring for fun or giving our others tap ins!

I just don't understand her thinking.

A record 12 City players called up by England for the next England training camp with a 13th included on the standby roster.

Ellie Roebuck, Steph Houghton, Demi Stokes, Esme Morgan, Jill Scott, Keira Walsh, Georgia Stanway, Ellen White, Chloe Kelly, Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood and Laura Coombs. With Karen Bardsley being on standby.

Congrats to all.

Ahh great, sorry for that. The sports tv guide i use must not index city+, appologies. They only listed mutv urgh.
No worries, mate — just wanted to make sure both of you (and others in the thread) were aware there was a reliable, legal stream available. ;-)

Of course, I post the link to the City+ stream and then later try to login to find my subscription cancelled for some reason and it looks like the ‘Subscribe to City’ page is bugged, preventing me from renewing (I’ve tried it on my iPhone, iPad, and missus’ laptop).

The City OS really is ****.

I know, mate, that’s the link I posted earlier in the thread.

The issues is my subscription cancelled at some point and the web page to renew is not working correctly, so I can’t immediately get the subscription back.

It turns out, though, that The FA Player app is also streaming it, for anyone in the same situation (or just looking for an alternative stream).

Unfortunately, the FA Player commentary is the Rag’s.

Yep, same here. Can watch it on the iPad, but the tv app isn’t recognising my subscription.

Annoying.
