Beeb getting giddy - the Rags are top of the WSL... the pioneers of women’s football...
It’s understandable.. the Beeb had all those ‘journalists’ available at work before 7pm today, so they had the resources to deal with the emerging, ‘hold the front page’ story.. Unlike, it seemed, last Wednesday night when they all must have clocked off by 7pm after having such a long, long day, poor dears.. which resulted in the Women’s section of the football site being unable to give updates, final scores or reports from the 11 Women’s League Cup ties that evening for hours after the games finished..

Think the Chelsea game could be a title deciding 6 pointer this early. Really dont see either team dropping much points this season.
If we play like we did against Arsenal last week, we should beat them. Providing we are clinical.

In recent times, we've had trouble with their attack line.

Most because Chelsea have been able to waltz through our mid and attack with late movement from the mid. We switch off.

I'm hoping with Mewis in the middle with Weir and Walsh, we can control this aspect and keep them on the back foot.

I hope Lavelle starts in playmaker/ attack mid, so I can see her influence and I hope that Park plays to see her drive at the Chelsea defence, but she might need to be a sub in this game.

I'm happy with Kelly and White being in the top third as per usual, so I guess it's whether Taylor starts Stanway or Lavelle in this game as that linking attack.

Which leaves Park as the definite sub, I guess.

Shame, that.

Kelly has been very impressive so far. How old is she, about 22 ish.

A bit like talk shite who think we have bought 1 World Cup winner instead 2, despite waxing lyrical about the shirt sales from the Yank Ragettes

The level has significantly improved over the years, this season particularly exciting. Sam Mewis is awesome. Pity our coverage is still second rate, I've been trying for several days to watch the full match replay of the Everton game on City+ but the full match is only 3 plus minutes of highlights - I don't think it was a smart move aligning WSL with the mens game but I'll be watching the Chelsea game today, should be a cracker.

I find her decision making, excellent. Just about the right balance of going for it and laying it off.

I love her willingness to run the defender.

How we've not picked her up before now, I don't know!
I agree with most of what you say.

Arguably, we couldn’t justify signing Kelly though until Hemp was a first team regular because there may have been too much competition for the same position.
