Well deserved win for the Ladies. Thoroughly enjoyed the game and the performance which we dominated in the most part to a defensive Everton side who played their part mostly on the counter and pressure from set pieces. Despite the commentary team willing Everton to score any form of scouse victory would have been an utter travesty.
Mewiss was easily POTM but the commentary team decided to pity the Everton keeper who played well making game saving stops on several occasions. Again commentary reckons Everton didn't deserve to lose by more than one yet we hit the post twice and the bar as well as missing 3 sitters. We should have had 5 and the game should have been over before their fluke corner hit the striker on the back of the head and went in against the run of play on the whole.
Big Derby against United next week as well so let's hope they can make necessary changes to keep going in the league too.
Well done MCWFC.

Spot on assesment of the game , weird how our womens team attract the same media bias , the pundits should have been wearing Everton shirts , MCFC the most hated club in the world , we must be doing something right then.

It's funny with them pointing at Everton's academy players , but City had four on at the end of the match Stanway, Jess Park , Kiera Walsh and Ellie Roebuck. With Jess Park and Stanway winning the game
It gets better ... Poppy Pattison who came on as a sub for Everton, is a City academy product (unused sub in our first women's Caraboa Cup final). So that's SIX from City's academy on the pitch at the end.

Yes utterly disgusting, a couple of days ago they slandered and abused our Youth team as well for being part of the MCFC family .So many bitter untruths from agenda-driven simpletons who cannot give us the courtesy of being professional.

Excellent final. There is a refreshing sense of honesty and authentiCity about the Women's game which, when added to the ever-increasing quality, makes it an enjoyable watch. Weir was the stand-out player for me but with some other excellent contributors, especially Stanway.

The comments section on the bbc website is embarrassing not just against City but against the womens game.
People who mock women's football should check out men's football from the 30's and 40's on youtube. The standard looks amateurish compared to today. Women's football is in its infancy and is improving all the time.
