Why does Walsh get her position, game in, game out?

I don't understand what she does that Stanway couldn't, for example!

because Stanway isn't a DM as much as you would like her to be one, of course, she could play the role but you would lose more bite further up the pitch.

The clubs top scorer isn't going to be a DM at the end of the day.

Yeah probably a bit unfair as she has had a decent run of late but she seems to want to take every set piece - Losada should have taken the free kicks - much more quality from long range.

What I'm trying to say is, where Walsh is concerned, it's about keeping the ball ticking over and that's done by passing sideways or back to the keeper. She's the same role as Ferna and Rodri, so the question is, why she doesn't drive forward?

Stanway, could do that, drive our game forward AND still have shots on goal as Fern and Rodri do.

Brilliant performance and a fully deserved victory, despite what the commentary team would have you believe; "City just edged it on chances".

Fabulous goal by Caroline and great displays all over the pitch, especially Lauren and Jess on the wings.
