Brilliant game and result , our lasses tore Chelski apart in the second half , the game was a decent standard certainly better than watching my local scrappers Southport F.C. :)

He beat the men's team a few times by missing sitters!

To be fair he did score a very important goal in City’s history, that is largely forgotten about. Stoke at home 98/99. Think they’d have gone 10 clear if they’d have beaten us.

So was Harry Dowd!

Lack of height was what stopped Harry from being a real top class goalkeeper.

He was replaced by Joe Corrigan (forgetting the year and a bit where Ken Mulhearn took his place) yet Harry ‘looked’ a better goalkeeper than Joe.

The problem was that Harry would appear to have a great game if City lost 3-2 while Joe would appear to have a stinker with City winning 2-1.

Weir deserved WOTM and many other stand out performances including Hemp and Greenwood. Kennedy’s performance may go under the radar but I’m not sure we win that game without her commanding aerial presence. Even though we dominated most of the match.

City’s fortunes haven’t just coincided with players returning from injury but also playing Stanway in positions where she can help to dominate the game.

I agree with comments about the bias and very ordinary BBC commentary. We won so I don’t care that much. They had to eat humble pie in the 2nd half.

Thank you to the City die hards who cheered the Blues from start to finish. The girls in blue never give in.

After a torrid first half, a great second half.Well done everyone at City. You did yourselves and City proud.
I still think that Taylor is not the person who should be in charge if we really want to be the best and it’s a shame as we really could be.
