Yes they changed the rules beginning of the season, that a foul in the box that gives away a pen, only gets a yellow (unless it's dangerous I expect) but I have see a red card this season for a foul in the box, City's EDS v Sunderland at home , with the Sunderland player still getting a shot away too !Not the rules any more.

A deliberate foul preventing a clear goal-scoring opportunity is still a red card offence. I'm not convinced the keeper had any chance of getting to the ball.Not the rules any more.

Or if no attempt to play the ball, eg: Walker on Sterling last year.

The BBC say that Birmingham were 'unfortunate' to leave with nothing! Two penalties and a red card for violent play? How is that unfortunate. They got what their play deserved!
