Women's World Cup

England played well and deserved to win, but Toni Duggan is the only one who seems to think like a male footballer. Consequently, she always finds herself where the ball should have gone, rather than expecting her team mate to have one touch too many and lose the angle.
Bardsley was assertive in goal, especially midway through the second half when the tide began to turn.

the previous games were a struggle because Aluko was very isolated and when she did get the ball couldn't beat the double defense on her. This change with Toni starting and the effective Kirby-Carney duo has put the winds in the sails. If I were to pick a non-City player to move to MCWFC I would go for Greenwood. She has an eye for those crosses and links well with our other City players

Agree to a point, but Greenwood was ball watching for Columbia's goal, and also for their chance, late in the first half, when Bardsley made the save of the game.

In Canada at the moment visiting our daughter. Only a couple of hours away from Ottawa so got ourselves some tickets for tonight. If you're watching on tv keep an eye out for three of us in City shirts and Cross of St George flags.

Anybody see the post on the BBC regarding the best goals of the tournament?

Some of them are top drawer fair play!
