The shite i've heard following the defeat is, quite frankly, sickening.
Banging on about 'Heroes', 'inspiring a generation', 'holdng heads high', 'team spirit', 'done the nation proud' etc etc.

That's harsh mate.
They got to a World Cup Semi Final, arguably deserved to win, but lost to a cruel last minute own goal. It's a different type of game to Mens football, but imagine the hype if we had got to the Semi Final in Brazil last year.

Of course the media reaction was over the top, but the knee-jerk hysteria would have been just as bad the other way, if they had been knocked out in the Group Stages.
