christ that news conference with Lee's family brought me to tears

these mudering scum make me sick and anyone trying to belittle this barbaric murder is scum as well by association
Theres plenty of posters on here trying to do that, knobs of the highest degree

Show me one post where anyone has belittled this murder? Any single post? Stop calling posters names for having intelligent debates on a very important issue. Not all of us are so quick to let our emotions make decisions for them and just lash out without due thought.

Not one single poster has defended the killers or said what they did was nothing but barbaric. The discussion now is what causes this and is there anything that can prevent it.

This. For those of you who cant be arsed to read the whole thread no one is defending what happened in Woolwich. We are simply trying to highlight the "reasons" that we in the West have given Muslim fundamentalists the world over that in their mind legitamise their horrendous actions.

It is also clear that for every Western soldier and civilian that has been killed an Arabic soldier or civilian has also lost their life at our hands.

Let me say again no one is defending what happened in Woolwich it was barbaric and horrendous. Those who consistently claim that this is happening are simply weakening their own standpoint by ignoring the facts.

Why are you resorting to cursing at me? We are defending ourselves we have presence in most Muslim countries as we speak. If its not an army its a compliant government that we back or we inserted. The problem here is you do not really know what you are talking about so for that reason I shall ignore you rather than descend to your mud slinging level of debate.

No menace in this question mate. Are you a Muslim?

****.

I prefer the term racist in front of that please

Posters who were offering condolences or indeed just calling the murderers scum have been confronted with counter arguments where none were needed.

This incident stands alone and needs to be looked at alone....not have someone claiming some sort of brotherhood with the ideology that caused it.

But there was an ideology behind it. It was a fucked up one but it was still an ideology. The incident doesn't stand alone, similar things have happened all over Europe .

I'm not excusing anyone but this issue isn't black and white.

What is black and white is that it's always going to be wrong to resort to extreme violence in order to publicise your perceived struggle no matter what side you're on.

I see your point m8.

The issue I was trying to make albeit clumsily earlier on is that as an individual we have the right to protect ourselves and if that means killing someone we have to make that call.

This was in response to how to fight the "1% of the Muslim population" who want to kill us domestically.

Radicals don't talk they do.

Could you point some of these out for me?

Should the punishment for these crimes stand alone - yes of course, there are no mitigating circumstances for these horrible actions and the full weight of law should be thrown against them.

Does the incident stand alone and considered alone when looking for a solution to end all of these killings - no it cannot and should not be and to think differently is ridiculous.

If you listen to what the killers said then clearly this incident does not stand alone. It is in their view (however deluded that view may be) in retaliation to killings that (undeniably) have occurred in Muslim countries as a result of US/UK actions.

It's time for everyone to take responsibility, Muslims included.

Until that happens, incidents like this will continue and we'll all suffer.
