The tendency for many people on TV to no longer pronounce 'the' as 'thee' when followed by a vowel. They come out with 'thu apple', 'thu end', 'thu ocean', etc. Black Americans have been talking like this for a long time but why has it been adopted so suddenly and so fast by white Brits?
Edit: I've just seen Schafernaker of the BBC weather forecast say "thu east".
