Being an exiled Manc, I notice a Welsh thing is to use the word 'left' in place of 'let', and it irritates me and I never get used to it or understand why they do it. Makes no sense whatsoever and winds me up. Eg: "I waited in all day for the plumber but he left me down" or "I think I had a puncture so I left the tyre down and blew it up again to see".
