World Athletics Championships 2019

Just watching the athletics and although we've had champions in various events over the years it seems like our best event for women in the Heptathlon, why is that?

I'd imagine having to be a jack of all trades is harder to train for Ryan an individual event.

Easier mentally; less boring, more variety. Also, these events aren’t rocket science and training for one helps the many of the others

Well done to the dip tonight.

And of course a tradition, from Mary Peters, through Daley Thompson and all the others who followed.
We actually have a lot of younger talent coming through on the conveyor belt too.
I think for girls especially, athletics is an appealing sport in this country in terms of media profile - it’s one of the few sports where successful women get equal billing and coverage at men.

48.37 and still came 2nd?

That's as ridiculous as a Premier League team getting 97 points and not winning the league.
