None are world class, just good players.

Ok I'll bite :-)

Safe to say if your in the top ten players in the world for your position you can be counted as world class?

If so name 10 better defensive midfielders than Yaya
And 10 player makers without putting David Silva in the list.

Not easy and they both deserve to be there.

eh? Only if a world team contained 10 left backs could that be true. Although its a kind of meaningless statement anyway surely 'world class' has to be a little more choosy? What would 'Premiership Class' be - top 100 left backs in England?

Ok so by your theory there is only 11 world class players in the world, one for each position?

If so, why say 'world class' and not just say 'he's the best left back in the world'

Gotta be wider than that.

Any of these, I would consider as wow signings. I have # the ones that I believe we have a chance of getting.

By your definition we allready have a world class player - but he's on the bench, Robinho.

Who would in all honesty prefer the 'the world class player' Kaka ahead of signings like Y Touré or D Silva?

nope, as I posted above best 2 for each position is plenty, best 10 is ridiculous if your talking 'world class', but I cant be arsed getting too uppity, 'whos world class' is a pub debate game really

Exactly, I don't think some blues realise what we've got in these two.

Couldn't it be that everyone who plays at the World Cup are world class players?

But I agree, it's a semantic question. What do we mean with 'World Class'? But I think it would be strange to narrow it to, for instance, 5 players...

world class = best in the world in that position

Perhaps 3 players tops - but its all very fluffy

Perhaps if you were to think of a World squad of 25 players

Its my guess judging by Tolmies Inter thinking very hard clue that we have bid a big amount for Snijder and Maicon with perhaps a player swap.
