With regards to France’s penalty, I think it was a harsh call on Australia. There was a slight touch on the ball, and the initial contact might have been outside of the box anyway.

It all depends on whether you believe the defender got a touch on the ball first, irrespective of what happens afterwards,

I thought the replay showed a slight deflection of the ball from the defender into Griezeman's path, the contact with Griezeman couldn't be avoided because he was already sliding on the floor by that stage and the ball was running away from Griezeman, he wouldn't have caught up with it anyway. So no penalty for me.

Some saw that he touched the ball first, whereas others clearly don't see it that way, that seems to be the reason for this difference of opinion.

Tbh I wanted him to join City when he was at Juventus but he is very slow and non effective. So glad we dodged a very expensive bullet there.
