I thought the replay showed a slight deflection of the ball from the defender into Griezeman's path, the contact with Griezeman couldn't be avoided because he was already sliding on the floor by that stage and the ball was running away from Griezeman, he wouldn't have caught up with it anyway. So no penalty for me.

Some saw that he touched the ball first, whereas others clearly don't see it that way, that seems to be the reason for this difference of opinion.

I suspect I will rue my decision to back France for the WC. They may have the personnel but this game has perhaps highlighted a lack of unity in the squad.
