I doubt Sane is laughing - but is probably sitting their frustrated and annoyed and wondering why he is not even in the squad. Germany - like Argentina yesterday - just had no alternative plan than passing it through the middle - no width, no pace, no lair - all the things that Sane brings to the game. To be fair Brandt looked like he had something when he came on, but Drexler - don't know what the fuss is all about.
But what about Mexico - brave, committed, energy, ideas - a bit more composure with the final pass and they could have scored so many more - but the fact that they were prepared to play three attackers, leave them high up and look for every opportunity to break was so well done. Next game is a big won for them - danger is they have expended so much physical and emotional energy that there may be nothing less and I don't know much about the South Korean team but you know they will be quick and full of energy as well.
