Was listening to the match on the way home last night. It was truly sickening to listen to the absolute drivel and fawning over no salad. That had been Sterling what would they have said?

Now Salad has gone home (baring a miracle), I see a couple of papers are raving over his Liverpool team mate's performance against Poland. They really are a fecking cult.

We may be getting used to it now, but there could not be a more glaring example of bias and double-standards at this WC: Sterling has an ineffectual game (played out of position) and he gets scorn and and abuse, Salah has an equally poor game (but scores a penalty) and gets adoration and excuse after excuse. It’s not even subtle any more. We really do have the most deliberately unconscionable sports media in this country.
