To be fair, before Grealish was on our radar, there was loads of posts on here saying he was a **** etc..

But we found out he's a diamond when it comes to fans and kids. His worst crimes is he's a bit of a lad and a top shagger but aside from that, most have come to realise he's a good a very good heart.

like Bruno at united, we don't like him for on field stuff but apparently he's one of the nicest blokes you could meet in real life, just a quiet family man.

He’s disruptive, I’d not have wanted him or Fernandez from the Chav’s for that reason.

I really don't know who I fancy to win it. Portugal, Spain and France feel like the standout sides.

Luck of the draw will play it's part. Most teams have identified that being hard to beat is a better way of going deep into tournaments but you still need more than that to win one.

France blew Croatia away 8 years ago and that final last time around was class thanks to Argentina going ahead. It forced Deschamps to be less negative and go for it and delivered one of the best finals I have seen.
 
France or Spain for me with Portugal possible outsiders.

48 teams is ridiculous. Ergo I won't be watching any games until the last 16 ties start on July 4th.

Mind watching the Scotchers get humiliated by under estimating Haiti on June 14th would be worth a look if it wasn't kicking off at 2am!
 
Can’t be arsed watching the early rounds, there’s no point when half the teams are probably worse than League 2 standard.

Might watch some of the better teams play each other in the later stages if we’re not busy. Like with most international football if I ever do watch I’m mostly just hoping no City players get injured or make dicks of themselves and that all rags play absolutely shit and embarrass their countries.

France favourites for me simply for that ridiculous attack. They'll have the best front 3/4 in the tournament whoever they start and the second best front 3/4 will be on their bench. That depth is what will get them over the line. Their midfield is weak, they'll probably get dominated by spain/Portugal but if they play on the break, they'll win.

Portugal probably have the best well rounded side but their attack is rubbish, they'll be playing with 10 men every game a 40 year old Ronaldo is leading the line, they'd be favourites if Martinez had the balls to drop him or reduce his role to that of a sub.

Spain will probably be the best side overall that ply the best stuff but just think they're too heavily reliant on Yamal in attack, if he isn't fully fit and firing not sure there are enough goals in them.

Those are the 3 obvious sides. Outside of them, the Dutch might be a surprise package.
 
This is the warm up tournament for the big one in 2028. England at the Etihad. Be a fantastic atmosphere with the new stand complete.

This World Cup Portugal should do well. The expected heat will hamper England chances if we get to the latter stages.

If their other players are anything like Khusanov - Portugal, Colombia and DR Congo won’t know what’s hit them.

A tough ask but it would be great to see them get out of that group.
 
I just saw that red card for Curacao in the Scotland friendly. Absolute joke. If that's going to be the standard for a red in the WC, expect to see plenty of them.

Uzbekistan are apparently the fastest improving team in the AFC. It could be famous last words but I wouldn't be surprised if they're a surprise package in Group K.
