There’s an awful lot of chaff to get through but some of the group games to decide second place could be half decent e.g. Norway v Senegal.
If the big hitters all win their groups it’s likely England will be the same side of the draw as Brazil,Argentina and Portugal.
On the other side probably France,Spain, Belgium,Germany and Netherlands.
Whilst Spain and France are the top favourites it’s a good chance they will meet before the final.

I don’t know where the original poster lives, but I do think most Americans who haven’t lived in the south and experienced the American football culture there may not have heard a lot about this type of violence. Sadly, it doesn’t make the news. Open carry laws plus petty disagreements between known individuals plus crowded stadiums aren’t a good mix. It doesn’t happen as frequently in northern cities partly because laws (hopefully) and the football culture is different. So I think the original poster was saying England was “safe” in good faith.
