World Cup Ball

Give the cannon ball with the laces any day. These new balls are for poofs.

i like it. i reckon there will be lots of goals in this tournament because of the flight of the ball.

Having nearly broke my foot on one of those as a kid when they get wet and quadruple their weight...Thats not what the modern day poof wants :)

Played with it in a 'Pre-WorldCup' work 11-a-side last week, can't tell any difference from a normal ball to be honest, but then again i'm not a pro!

How is that a good thing though? I'd rather goals were scored through talent than the ball having a weird flight, that China goal was an absolute joke.
yeah it was mental but still we will see a lot of drama this tournament. i always used to get the world cup ball as a kid and this one looks good. just swings in the air a bit.

Was it the official ball or the replica? The official balls are about £80 and the replicas are less than £20. I'm guessing they would behave in different ways and will include less of the technology found in the offical balls.

I posted on this in the France 0 China 1 thread and think it makes the goals so much less impressive when the ball moves around so much

I think the replica balls are just like any other ball with a different design on as they are stitched and have the same general make up rather than the match ball which isnt stitched and is only made from 8 panels.

Was the official ball mate, cost 75 quid what else are company expenses for. :D Its good to play with sticks to your feet better but not being the 'free kick bloke' I play it on the floor a lot, couldn't tell much difference personally.

fair enough mate! and nice use of the expenses :)
I wouldnt mind having a kick about with one to see what they are like - i'm definately not going to be paying 75-80 sheets for one though
