At the end of the day Rashford scored the winner. Luckily for him he had 80 minutes to redeem a quite poor 45 minutes along with the rest of the team whereas sterling got hooked at half-time. All that being said sterling is still far and away england's most dangerous player and the first half against malta doesn't change that. How the pundits and the manager don't see that and going as far as saying rashford has better movement or is more intelligent off the ball player than him is besides me. He may be a better technical player at striking the ball but that's about it. In 7 or so minutes sterling got into dangerous positions around 3 times playing in his imo best position. Admittedly the game was won and slovakia werent playing with the same intensity but was still more than ox managed in the whole game. Going forward I would play a front three with sterling, kane and rashford.
