We all know who is in Pot 1 but have the gangsters at FIFA announced who will be in Pots 2,3 and 4??? Maybe they want to keep it a secret......

They appear to be making it up as they go, again. I can't think of another sporting organtisation that changes the format of a competition half way through it (normally to help the more profitable teams). Just like when they changed the play offs to be seeded to try and make sure Portugal and France qualified 4 years ago. Joke

Sky have it on their ticker thing at the moment. It appears France are in with Euro teams but as Pot 2 appears to only have 7 sides in it (as per Sky graphics) its hard to know for certain. Might be Bosnia in with the Africans.

-- Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:19 pm --

Ignore that Sky now have Bosnia in with the Europeans. So one pot has seven teams and another has nine teams! Either Sky or FIFA are making it up as they go along.

I get it now. As the indications were that France would be in Pot 2, but now have only a one in nine chance, I would suggest there is some celebrating going on in Platini's hotel room as we speak.

Hahahaha good old FIFA never fail to fuck about with things to appease one of their own, congrats Michel, you prick!

Only fifa could make a football draw be such a circus and so confused.

I read the other day that due to the complications of the rankings system, the reason that Switzerland are seeded and Holland aren't is because Holland beat Indonesia in a friendly match. Had the Dutch not played it, they'd have replaced Switzerland as a top seed. Bizarre.

I hope Australia draws Italy so we have a chance of revenge against those cheating *****.

I wouldn't mind England too. Beating you in a world cup would top an Ashes series win imo.
Does your away kit have arrows on it?

I'm lost. I'm not sure if that's a genuine question or a joke I don't get...
Think about it,their other kit has small ball and chains on it... ;-)

Well the corrupt bastards do it again.

Twattini gets a fix at the expense of Engerland who'd have thinked it?

FIFA, what a corrupt, underhand organisation. Moving the proverbial goalposts again.

A few weeks ago, all the votes were in and counted for the Balon D'or. Ribery was odds on favourite.

Then Ronaldo scores a hat trick for Portugal in the WC play off and without explanation, they decide to open the voting again. Now Ronaldo is odds on favourite.

They won't let more than one South American side in the same group now either because they know the only teams that can beat Brazil in Brazil will be the other South American sides. Corrupt isn't the word.

Brazil Vs. Uruguay/Argentina/Chile/Ecuador/Colombia would be cracking games because the away side will play with no fear.

Opening WC match Brazil V England would give huge worldwide ratings. Cynical...moi?

They've always kept nations from the same continent apart in the group stage, aside from the Europeans because there are so many from that continent it's impossible to acheive. This isn't a new phenomenon.

FIFA have said that, before the main draw, they will be drawing 1 of the unseeded 9 European teams out of a hat and that team will be taken out of the European pot (leaving that pot with 8 teams) and placed in pot 2 alongside the 5 African nations, and the 2 unseeded South American nations. Whichever European nation is drawn out of Pot 2 and placed in Pot 4 is guaranteed to end up in a group with 1 of the 4 seeded South American teams (to prevent there being 3 European nations in the same group).

The pots are as follows:-

Pot 1 (top eight seeds): Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Uruguay

Pot 2: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chile, Ecuador (+ 1 European nation from pot 4)

Pot 3: Japan, Iran, South Korea, Australia, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras

Pot 4: Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, England, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, France (1 of these nations will bedrawn out and placed into pot 2 instead)
