I agree. But the hype has never gone away.
Guess it's about engaging the viewer but it rankles and the expectation on the Brazillian players has been too much over the years.

The 74 team was worse than this one.........82 was the best

These freak results do happen from time to time. Most of these German players were humiliated by real madrid a few months ago. Luiz has had a crazy game but it's not like he has played like this in any other games at this world cup or Chelsea last season. He was one of Brazil's best players this world cup. Knee jerking is too easy.

Part of that is tiki-taka being found out...and another part is just a new direct, physical pacey style of football some top teams are starting to play. The way these matches went down are similar:

Guardiola's bayern vs. Madrid
Spain vs. Holland
Brazil vs. Germany
Guardiola's barca vs. Heyncke's Bayern
