World Snooker 2019

Just a bit of snooker trivia, before moving to Sheffield the World Championships were held at mostly UK venues but in 1973,1974 and 1976 they were held in Manchester. At the Exhibition Hall, Belle Vue and finally at the Wythenshawe Forum, co hosted with Middlesbrough Town Hall. Prize money for the winner was £1500 to £6000 and it was best of 70 frames at one stage in the final.

Anyone see the 31st frame in the Higgins - Gilbert match? It was like the top 4 race with how much neither wanted to win that frame

The long winter evenings must just fly by.
