from game.Little did I know it was the start of a yo yo period
throughout the 80s....

this, and that orrible little twat of an elf skipping around the pitch

five nil down at the swamp with 20 mins to play.that was my lowest point, even relegation didnt feel that bad.

David the **** Pleat. I swear, to this day I reckon,if I come face to face even in the most tranquil of settings, I would crack him.

Halifax in the FA Cup, a horrible day and the only time in my life I've been anything other than fiercely proud of being a Blue. The team was bad and the fans were worse.

third of may 1998

i couldn't believe the team i had seen win the league, cup, league cup and cup winner's cup could drop so far

the third division is for has-beens, cloggers and newbies

fucking macclesfield as the derby, trip to tranmere instead of liverpool, darlington instead of newcastle, everyone taking the piss.....

Tell you what though m8 i know it was embarasing but had some fuckin great trips in the old 3rd div

yep
got in sixteen new grounds that season

and my daughter, who was 11 at the time, loved how close you were to the players at those grounds
that's when she became a mad blue instead of normal one

The moments before Horlock scored at Wembley. looking around Wembley watching Gillingham celebrating. I thought City were finished

i know what you mean

my daughter was stood there with tears in her eyes with blue face paint running down her cheeks

i have rarely felt so helpless

God yeh that was horrible, even when horlock scored i couldn't bring myself to celebrate until a young Scotsman put the ball in the net at that point i thought i was going to have a heart attack!,,lol

0-2 down against Gillingham, 120 seconds of normal time left, sat there with my 8 year old son staring into the abyss, in 44 years that was the lowest point I have ever been watching this football club. Could not speak with emotion choking my throat, never ever do that to me again Blues, I saw a darkness beyond words.

oh yes, i feel this!

Got to be getting relegated to the old 2nd division.
We beat Stoke and still went down, I just remember thinking that was an all time low and would we ever come back.
I'll always remember the 2 rags who completely took the p--s, when to me it felt like the end of the world.
I should have known you just can't keep us down and as we all know it turned out ok in the end. As if there was any doubt eh :)
