worst place you’ve stayed in

Was going to post this in the Match thread but thought it deserved a thread of its own. I have a few health issues at the moment so after the game thought I’d try and find somewhere to stay and drive home this morning. I explained I needed a room for the night should have realised when he said £22.00 paid this then proceeded to follow him up corridors until we came to a room which I can only describe as a cross between Alcatraz and pow camp. This room consisted of a single bed,1 chair that’s it. I sat on the chair contemplating my next move when my door knocks opened it to be met by a woman with no front teeth and a short mini skirt who asked me for a fag. After explaining I don’t smoke she asked if she could do me any sexual favours for a £10 spot I told her politely to fuck off and shut the door. Fast forward 2 hours still sat in the chair I heard this chilling scream coming from down the corridor . Fuck this I thought so proceeded to leave only to be met by a corridor full of people who were like I’ve never seen before,they could have filmed one flew over the cuckoos nest there and it wouldn’t have been out of place. So relived when I got to the car.drove down the driveway to see someone asleep on the side step fucked off out of there faster than a Cambodian with a dinner ticket. So my question is where’s the worse place you’ve ever stayed that was definitely mine. By the way just got home after spending a couple of hours asleep on the service station

A tenner you say? And no front teeth? Does the place have a website?

That’s where I’ve been going wrong. I usually stay in nice places, but no one has ever offered me anything for such a competitive price.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to London. Come to think of it.

You should have stayed in your car pal.
Pomtins, Southport was the worst I have ever been in. My prison cell was a 5* upgrade compared to it.
 
Stayed in a place on the germany/ czech border. Really just a truck stop, cafe below, bedrooms above. Caf wasn't too bad, but the bedroom......filthy dirty, full of spiders the size of dinner plates, enough hair in the shower (down the hall)
to make Beyonce a wig, toilet.... yuck, least said.

I stayed at the hotel across the way from the one in Prestatyn there called Beaches (went to a wedding last year during Christmas and New Year, quiet a nice hotel). Even from the outside that looks like one of detention centres that you saw from old pictures after they lifted the iron curtain. I can't believe that place hasn't been going condemned, you must go away from there totalling pissed off wishing you had stayed at home and saved yourself the petrol money.

Think it was this place in Cambodia. The pictures certainly don't look like the place I stayed but the name seems right
Now says "permanently closed" unsurprisingly.

Got off our sleeper bus in siem reap and got swarmed by the tuk-tuk drivers, not a single one of them knew where this place was which was remarkable considering they do this daily. A good omen no doubt.
Eventually found out it in the middle of absolutely nowhere .

The lady who met us was steamingly high and showed us to a room.

Was $1 for a 4 bed room is what we paid for four of us. Got there it had 1 bunk bed, and surprisingly on en-suite. However I opened the bathroom door and it simply came off in my hands so had to place a door on the floor of the tiny room, fair enough, looked at the grim toilet only to realise it didn't even have a flush, just a toilet with some (used) water in it.

It was obviously filthy and had a million insect residents.
The bunk bed had a mosquito net over it however this was literally just thrown over the top therefore the top bunk meant you had a net on top of you covering your face. Perfect for the sweltering heart with not even a basic fan for relief.
So 2 or 3 had to sleep on the tiled floor in the filth.

Luckily we were getting up at like 4am for sunrise at Angkor so didn't have to suffer too long.

I suppose for $1 it seems about right, but I think the most expensive place we stayed over the few weeks in Asia was $5 and the majority even had air conditioning, so in comparison it really was grim.

Good times.
 
Picked my brother in law up from Heathrow after an emergency meant he had to fly back early, he landed about midnight, so booked 2 rooms at a cheap hotel LITERALLY at the end of the runway, the Heathrow Lodge Hotel, 2* . It was £30...the room had a 'cubicle' bathroom, and you could have a shower, piss in the toilet and brush your teeth in the sink all at the same time.
