Would Ade Go?

Well, good on Malaga if they could sign him, although I'm skeptical. It would be good to see a Spanish side with some money other than Barca and Real, and Malaga have already shown some intent by signing Julio Baptista and Demichelis. Adebayor would be a much bigger signing than both though. I'll be glad to have him gone from our club, especially after his bust up with Kolo today in training. I don't buy into the "everyone is a mercenary" opinion but Adebayor is possibly the very definition of a footballing mercenary.

Edit: As I wrote that, just saw that Liverpool have made an enquiry about him. I'd much rather see him go abroad.

Malaga have recently been taken over by a Quatari Sheikh, who seems to be prepared to invest heavily in the Club to achieve success - they're a bit like the Spanish City, if you like!

He's got Manuel Pellegrini in as their Manager (who did a very good job at Real last season, just not quite good enough for the notoriously meddlesome Florentino Perez), and has just bought Julio Baptista from Roma and Martin Demichelis from Bayern - both good players, and a sign that they are moving in the right direction.

Ade would be their Marquee signing, but I wouldn't rule it out. We City fans know better than most how new owners like to make a statement signing to announce their arrival on the scene.

I'd much rather see us send him to Malaga on a permanent deal than to Real on loan. And lets face it - Ade has always had a tendency towards being a bit of a mercenary, so I could see him going for it!

It would be fantastic if the Malaga story is true. It'd be great to have another city-esque club, albeit not in england, to offload players to. As of now, there are very few clubs to offload players of our quality and fee to. I'd look for something permanent, and lots of add-ons just in case he regains form...

Sell him to malaga. Loaning valuable decent players just reduces their value (see robinho) also makes us look weak and invites other players in the squad to take the piss. Permanent deals are the only way forward for us at this stage we have to show we mean business and won't have the piss taken by other clubs, players or agents anymore.

For me adebayor, bridge, rsc, swp all need to go this window, on a permanent basis if possible. If we can't get cash part ex for players we could use pepe and diara at real would be handy squad players for example.

I disagree if we didn't loan robinho out he wouldn't have improved, wouldn't have been picked for brazil and we definitely wouldn't have got 22 million for him not only that but saved us a reported 20 million in wages and bonuses.

I agree, sending robinho to back to brazil worked out very well for city and robinho. Shame he never quite cut it at city as he really could of been a city great partly due to the fashion in which he entered the club.

Also since hearing about malaga i've been following them with intrest and i think their not quite on the scale of city yet but their not doing to badly. I hope things turn out well for them to add something to la liga and also as i see them as a sort of spanish city now :)

In Real Ade can only be used as a half season substitute for Higuain, certainly not permanent move... So only half season loan to Real.

If Malaga wants him, send him right away...
