WOULD NEW SONGS IMPROVE THE ATMOSPHERE?

I think printed leaflets on seats would be the best idea even if just the south stand and the east stand next to the away support cos they start the singing 9 times out of 10.

Yellow submarine is a good song for a football chant which is why i keep trying to push this for Robinho

i know people put effort into these songs and im not slagging it but . can we not find a tune that no ones got but everyone knows . i mean like a blue song to the likes of an oasis track , ie wonderwall or some other tune . A totally new song and tune all about city .

song sheets inside matchday progammes, so everyone can join and get use to the new songs if they want, or just leave them on peoples seats.

honestly, i think it would be something a bit more substantial than song sheets. i think the major hurdle is overcoming peoples belief they'll sound like a dick if theyre the only one singing it.

perhaps getting a load of people to sit in the same area one match, perhaps in/near the "singing" sections, and make sure those people know exactly what theyre singing.

i too would love to hear more songs, have come up with one or two when bored at work, but honestly, i doubt it will ever take off, i think its more luck than anything

Its always going to be hard creating a good atmosphere when the ends are separated in tiers. Just look at the Holt End, the Kop, and main end at Portsmouth. Separating sections create noise barriers whilst having all the singers in one huge stand encourages more fans to get invoved in the singing. Obviously we can't do anything about it now but handing over half of the lower tier in one end to the away fans doesn't help. They must love it having some of the best seats in the house. The club really needs to treat this subject more seriously and involve the supporters club to make the atmosphere more exciting and give the team a lift.
